Martijn Hagens (1971) studied Technical Business Administration and began his career as a consultant with the organization consulting firm Accenture. In 2003, he joined Nuon as Head of Customer Care. He then held various positions within the company including program director of unbundling. In 2011, he made the move to Vattenfall as Head of Customer Service. Between 2014-2015, he was Head of Heat Continental in the UK on behalf of Vattenfall. He was subsequently appointed CEO of Vattenfall Netherlands/Senior Vice President/Head of Business Area Customers & Solutions and Head of Business Area Heat Vattenfall Group.
