CEO Essent | Vice chair of Energie-Nederland

The energy transition is one of the greatest challenges of our time. It requires decisive action and collaboration between government, policymakers, stakeholders, and the business community. Sustainability, affordability, and accessibility of energy must go hand in hand as much as possible. For Essent, the energy transition is only truly successful if we are able to bring everyone along in the process. That is what I work on every day together with Energie-Nederland. Together with thousands of colleagues from Essent, Energiedirect, Vandebron, and a nationwide network of our technical installation companies, we tackle this challenge every day. In doing so, we aim to give people greater control over their energy bills and safeguard the affordability of energy, now and in the future.

Resi Becker has been Essent’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO) since February 1, 2022. Before becoming CEO, she had leadership responsibilities at Mail Netherlands, where she managed a team of about 30,000 employees. She was also a member of the Executive Committee of PostNL, a leading Dutch mail and parcel delivery company.

In addition to her role as CEO at Essent, Resi Becker holds other positions. She is a commissioner of Menzis, a Dutch health insurer, and a board member of the Prinses Máxima Centrum Foundation, an organization dedicated to pediatric oncology.

Resi Becker studied Technical Business Administration at Eindhoven University of Technology. Her education and extensive experience enable her to apply a broad knowledge of business processes and leadership in her role as CEO of Essent.
